Great Condition

How much would you pay for a 1988 Toyota Cressida in great condition. These were very nice 4 door sedans.?

HAS 220 K MILES
The A/c does not work and the sunroof does not work, but it does not leak. Also mechanicaly the car runs great. The a/c needs a commpresor( $600-800) but then again, if you buy this car you probably are just looking for basic transportation and that won’t be a problem. So what do you think, thanks!

I would expect the AC to work if I were to offer any more.

Also I would be concerned about the condition of the transmission if the car has that many miles on it.

If it is an automatic then I suspect that it will need to be overhauled. If it is a standard transmission it will need a clutch.

If it needs repairs to the transmission I would probably not offer more than $500.

Overhauling that automatic transmission will probably be close to $2,000.

Replacing the clutch of a standard transmission will be close to $1,000.
